Climb Aboard the Discovery Ride for a Journey Deep into the Forest

Get a front-row seat to nature on board the Discovery Ride, a one-hour journey into the backwoods of Arbor Day Farm.

The Discovery Ride takes you through orchards and vineyards, over streambeds, and all across the historic 260 acres of Arbor Day Farm. Along the way, a Nature Interpreter shares interesting facts, historical tidbits, and conservation information about your natural surroundings. You may even find deer, turkey, fox, raccoons, and other woodland creatures at home in the forest.

The Discovery Ride Depot

Every great journey deserves a great beginning, and this fall, your journey begins in the Discovery Ride Depot.

This new log structure provides a shaded space for gathering before and after embarking on the Discovery Ride at Arbor Day Farm. Retail, educational, and multi-use areas are also planned inside the depot. We invite you to visit Arbor Day Farm soon to experience the new Discovery Ride Depot; construction is expected to be complete in Fall 2011. View photos of the depot under construction.

Discovery Ride Fall Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 2:00pm only
Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 5 & 6 -- 1:00pm and 2:00pm
Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 12 & 13 -- 1:00pm only

*Please note: Discovery Ride tickets are a separate fee and must be added on to your Tree Adventure admission ticket.

Discovery Ride tickets are available for purchase at these locations at Arbor Day Farm:

  • The Tree Adventure Pavilion.
  • The Lied Lodge front desk or gift shop.
